1. Submicron control
The minimum input unit 0.0001mm/0.0001º achieves high machining accuracy.


2.Virtual machining
3D models simulate machining to confirm program and to identify machine collisions. Even during the machining going on, these operations can be done simultaneously.


3.Intelligent safety shield
Yamazaki Mazak has developed the Intelligent safety shield function. By using this function, when an operator manually moves the machine axes for setup or tool measurement, a synchronized 3D model is shown on the CNC display for checking machine interference. If any machine interference occurs, the machine motion immediately stops. Thanks to this function, a considerable reduction of machine setup time is realized.

 

4.Intelligent thermal shield:
The Intelligent thermal shield function automatically controls to the heat displacement by inhibiting the impact on machine due to environment changes. Based on the monitoring data, it realizes high accuracy machining by automatic compensates to heat displacement, and reduces it to a minimum.


5.Voice adviser:

Yamazaki Mazak verbally informs which switches have been selected and advises caution as necessary during manual machine operation. This function contributes to the considerable reduction of problems due to operator error

 

6.Intelligent Performance Spindle
The Intelligent Performance Spindle monitors a variety of properties with sensors housed in the spindle - including temperature, vibration and displacement - and provides useful information to the operator. Thanks to these data, machine problems due to the spindle can be prevented. Additionally, high accuracy machining and a considerable reduction of production loss due to machine down time can be realized.
